Ah-ahee- Worker of the Earth

Ahimsa-(ah-him-saw)- Non-harm & peaceful means

Ahn-Loving respect

Ama- Being of Love

Ama Marai- (Ah-ma, Ma-Ray)- Unconditional love.

Amaji- (Ah-ma-gee)-This word means something like: The one to whom my soul is woven forever.  It a not "pet name" or an endearment term, but a fact of spiritual unfoldment, therefore it is disrespectful and inappropriate for anyone but Mother to use that term of address about or with Mukanda Dawe. 

 

Amaraji Maha Marai- (Ah-Ma-raw-gee, Ma-ha, Ma-ray) - The people of love of the great promise.

Amareesha-Amareeshi-(Ah-ma-ree-sha)-These are words that mean the people who live in our hearts and with whom we share special and loving relationships. 

 

Ameesha- (Ah-me-sha)- Soul Friend

Anay-(ah-nay)- Servant

Arrai- (Are-ray)- The sky.

Arraji- (Ar-raw-gee)- The leadership of the Temple; Shayshoshewa, Richard, Eliah Sentah, Lelelewa,  Anaia Mari & Edward

Ashahey- solid or unyielding

Ashanay- (ash-ah-nay)- Earth Light

Ashantiva- (ah-shanti-va)- Choas into beauty, the beauty way

Arratisha- (Ar-raw-tea-shah)- The unbreakable promise

Asha- (Ahsh-ah)- The Earth

Asharaji- (Ah-shaw-raw-gee)- Animals

Ashamenta- (Ahsh-mehn-tah)- Wholeness of being, the magic of life.

Ashanata- (ah she naw ta)- Rooted

Ashay- (Ash-hay)- The center, or being in one's center of rightness 

 

Ashe-E-Tah- (Ahsh-E-tah)- Surrender, freedom, it is what it is now.

Aum- (Ah-oh-mm)- Life force energy.

Aum Mani Padmi Hum-(Oh-mm  Mahn-knee  Pod-me Whom)-May I create the Great Light within me and all around me. 

 

Aye- Obedience

 

Baidolai- (Bay-doe-lay)- Strong or mighty

Benetai Asha- (Ben-E-Tay)-  The goodness of the earth.

Bodhikatah- Spark of Great Spirit, the inner Tarai fire

Bodhi-katah Ashanata Ashantiva Aum- (Bow-de-kah-tah, Ahsh-ah-nah-tah, Ah-Shan-teva Aum)- The soul fire within me opens in creation of beauty within my life.

Bodhisattva- (Bow-de-saht-vah)- A person who has taken a vow to return again and again until all beings are free from suffering.

Brratah-shonay (Bra-tah- show-nay)- Postulant, hardly noticeable helper

Cheekah- Wild one

Chikatah- (Che-kaw-ta)- The inner fire of knowing and owning a virtue or gift.

Chakasi- (Chalk-ah-see)- Great Teacher, a term of respect for Mukanda Dawe.

Chewan- (chi-wan) Moon

Chiendai- (Che-en-day)- The Sacred

Chiendawa, Chiendaka- Sacred woman.  Sacred man.

Chi-ho- Yes, absolutely

Co-co- Sister

Danada- (Da-naw-da)- something that is instinctual or natural.

Dewa- prayer or grace offered

Dewa Maha Kotah- (Dee-wah, Ma-ha, Ko-tah)- To you I bow in homage.

Gai-way-ho- (guy-way-ho)- Journey on or forward

 

Gate-Gate, Para-Gate, Parasumgate, Bodhi Swaha  Aum: (Gat-tay  Pair-ah-suhm  Bo-dee  Swah-ha) Gone, Gone, Gone beyond, Gone far beyond, Into the Eternal Creation of Light. 

 

Gona Synquay Aum- (Go-nah, Sin-quay, Aum)- The great and willing sacrifice.

Hayamoni- (Hay-ah-mon-ee)- Refers to people who are gay, the third gender.

Hayo- Joy

 

Heirophy- Heir-oh-fi)- Priest

 

Hosetantha- (ho-see-tahn-tha)-  Spiritual home, refuge, sanctuary.

 

Ilowan- : (Ill-oh-wan  )- Ilowan means Planet Singer.  It is a job title, and a name that Mother gave us so we could identify with her.  

 

Ishkahai-(Ish-ka-hay)- People of the shamanic pathway.

Ka Taraishay- (Kaw  Tah-ray-shay)- Awakening Sun/Light/Consciousness

 

Katiame- (Caw-tea-ah-me)-The inner hope and trust that what we do for spirit really makes a difference. 

 

Katah- (kah-tah)- Fire

Kopah Tarai Aye- (Ko-pah, Tah-ray, I)- My heart hears in obedience.

Kopah Tarai Ahn- (Ko-pah, Tah-ray, Ahn)- My heart hears in love.

Kotah- Bow, homage

Lala Quisha- (Lala key-sha)- pure, clean water

Loma- (low-ma)- water

Lowa-lowa- Hail to or greetings to

Maha- Great

Makeesha- Divine Mother

 

Marai- (Mar-ray)-Universal Spirit Mind or the Great Unknown, the Great Mystery. 

 

Mari- all encompassing

MaShetah- (Ma-she-tah)- A sun dancer, one who has been pierced for his/her people.

Metta- (met-tah)- Merit or grace created by a positive action or prayer intention.

Mukanda Dawe-(Moo-kahn-daw  Da-we)-This is the name of Mother Ilowan’s teacher.  He is the eagle-headed protector spirit of ancient Assyria, the kingdom of Nin.  Shayshoshewa has written a book about his life called, He Who Brings Freedom.  Richard Hedge is the channel for Mukanda Dawe. 

 

Na-shotah- (Knaw-show-tah)-The name given to the Shrine at Sacred Mountain.  It means Gate of Spirt or Prayer Gate.

 

Nashotahwa & Nashotahka- (Knaw-show-tah-wah & Knaw-show-tah-Kah)- These words designate male and female entities who will enter religious life by living monastically.

Namaste- (Nam-ah-stay)- The light in me greets the light in you.

Nawsee- Faithful friend

Neesha- (knee-sha)- Spirit soul

Parai Mind- (Par-ray)- The thinking mind of a human being.  It has three parts: The focused, logical and defining mind; storytelling mind; unconscious (little self) mind.

Parashay Aum Kopah Ahn-(Par-A-shay, Aum Ko-pah, Ahn)- Thank you for your life/gift.

Pohwas- (Poe-was)- The form of meditation taught by Mother Ilowan and Mukanda Dawe.

Pranná- (Prah-na)- Breath of life, referring to the plant kingdom whose breath provides us with life.

Quesheta- Ah-(Qwe-she-tah-Ah)-  Quesheta is suffering and the Ah at the end means non.  So Quesheta Ah is non-suffering.

 

Ra-Shoka-(Raw-show-ka)-The Founding Stones of the Amaraji Ama Marai Temple.  These people have the time and energy within their lives to commit to more prayer, more service and more sacrifice for Mother Ilowan and the Mission.  They are available to do whatever is needed, whenever there is a need.  If there is a choice of how much work to perform they choose to do the most that is asked and are eager for more.  

 

Shoka- (show-kah)- Rock people or stone people.

Siddha- (sid-dah)- The Truth

Tahnshee- Tahn-she)- Devotee

Tarai- (Tar-ray)- A realm of spirit soul.  The place of the angels, saints and ascended masters.  Also Buddha or Christ Consciousness realm.

Tareeshma- (Tah-reesh-ma)- All my relations

Tareja- An individual

Tanay- (Tah-nay)- companion in adventure

Tiamashe- (Tea-ah-ma-she)- Surrendered love as a candle to the flame.

Tima- (tea-mah)- Bear

Yanna- vessel or fullness
